Solar PV Panels added to south-facing garage for home in Surrey
A homeowner in Surrey wanted to make full use of available roof space to generate renewable energy and power multiple energy demands within the property, including an indoor swimming pool. The brief was to create a system that could deliver sustainable electricity alongside efficient heating and hot water.
Solution
EnergyMyWay installed a 23kW solar PV system across the flat roof space of the main house and garage, maximising energy generation potential. Alongside this, a 40.5kWhr Tesla Powerwall system was fitted to store surplus electricity for use during peak demand, further reducing reliance on the grid.
To complement the solar energy, a Nibe 28kW F1355 Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) was installed to provide space heating, hot water, and energy-efficient heating for the property’s indoor swimming pool. Together, the systems deliver over 33,000kWhrs of heat, ensuring the household benefits from both lower running costs and reduced carbon emissions.
Following the success of the initial installation, the homeowner invited EnergyMyWay back to expand the system with a further 22.4kW of solar PV installed in the garden, further increasing capacity and sustainability.
