Solar PV & Battery Storage system for Oxfordshire home

  • 8 Panel Solar PV array in Oxfordshire

  • GivEnergy Battery storage system

  • Generating an estimated 3,500kWh of electricity p.a.

  • Enabling a bill reduction of approximately £40 / month

  • Lifetime bill savings estimated to be in excess of £20,000

  • Carbon saving = planting 172 trees

A homeowner in Oxfordshire wanted to reduce energy bills while making the property more environmentally friendly. The aim was to harness renewable energy for day-to-day electricity use and store surplus power for times of higher demand.

Solution

EnergyMyWay installed an 8-panel Solar PV array, fitted with bird mesh to protect the system and ensure its longevity. The array was coupled with a state-of-the-art battery storage system, allowing the household to capture excess solar energy generated during the day and use it in the evenings or when sunlight was limited.

By combining solar panels with battery storage, the installation significantly reduced reliance on the grid, cut running costs, and lowered the home’s carbon footprint. The bird mesh provided additional protection, preventing nesting and ensuring the panels operated at maximum efficiency.

EnergyMyWay have a been a key partner since 2012 in supporting our target to reduce carbon emissions and energy costs at our Monument Park site.  Their experience and expertise has been invaluable in helping us achieve this goal.
