Solar PV Array for Clacks Farm, Oxfordshire

  • 68kWp solar array mounted on a new farm building

  • Solar energy supplying two grain drying barns and two farm cottages

  • Reducing electricity costs in domestic houses and for the farm during the grain drying season

With high energy costs the client wanted to reduce their bills and reliance of buying electricity in from the grid.  The client had a new grain drying barn recently constructed which had a roof which was perfect for the installation of Solar Panels.

EnergyMyWay worked with an electrical engineer to design a system which could supply the electricity to the living accommodation on the site (2 x farm cottages) and supply electricity to the farm buildings. The solution was to electrically divide the array into 4 separate arrays, 2 smaller 7.2kWp arrays each feeding the farm cottages. The larger, 2 x 27kWp, arrays feed the farm buildings.
