Solar PV

“We needed a discreet solar PV installation on the edge (in fact just inside) our World Heritage Site. EnergyMyWay assessed the project thoughtfully, came up with a compelling design at a good price and delivered it seamlessly without disrupting our own access or work. We are delighted with the outcome and every member of the EnergyMyWay team were a delight to work with”

How Solar PV works

Solar panels capture solar irradiation and convert it into free, green electricity for your home or business.

The electricity from your solar panels becomes the primary source of power, with any shortfall being seamlessly supplied from the grid.

When you generate more solar electricity than you are using, the excess is automatically stored in a battery or sold back to the grid, generating revenue through the Smart Export Guarantee.

Everything happens automatically, and you can monitor the system using an app allowing you to optimise your consumption of your solar electricity on-site, maximing your savings.

“From our initial request, surveys, quotations and installation, Energy MyWay were efficient and courteous at every stage. The installation is working well and everything went according to plan.”

Start generating Solar energy in 5 simple steps

  1. We conduct a desktop survey, using Google Earth and other tools we have at our disposal, enabling us to get an initial design to you quickly.

  2. We then carry out a survey our your house or commercial building, giving us the chance to meet face-to-face and answer your questions. Sometimes we find alternative designs need to be produced at this stage.

  3. If you’d like to proceed with a solar installation we will get this booked into our install schedule, and our Installation Manager will carry out a site technical survey. The job’s then ready to proceed.

  4. Most domestic installs take around two days to complete, commercial installs will depend on the size and complexity of the project.

  5. Once the install is complete, we provide a full customer handover, support setting up and monitoring the array and battery, and a long term maintenance service, giving you complete peace of mind.

Choosing Solar Panels for your roof or ground

We continuously research the best panels and mounting systems for our clients. This means we will give you the best advice for your project. Over the years we’ve installed panels on pretty much every roof type and used numerous ground-mount systems.

Roof mounted panels can either be installed as a traditional on-roof array, or in-roof, where the panels sit flush to the roof and tiles or slates are installed around the array.

We offer a range of solutions for flat roofs, with either ballasted or fixed solutions, installed on rubberised membrane or GRP roofs.

We have mounting systems for standing seam or trapazoidal roofs.

For your piece of mind, the structure of every roof is cleared by a third party structural engineer to ensure it has the capability to carry the load of the solar array.

Considering an in-roof system?

EnergyMyWay are one of the leading installers of the Viridian in-roof solar PV system. This innovative system is manufactured by the UK’s leading solar manufacturer, and combines a tier one panel with the finest in-roof mounting system available.

The in-roof system is perfect for newly constructed roofs, they allow the panels to sit flush on the roof, so there’s an aesthetic benefit, but they also save on the cost of tiles or slates.

Through our close relationship with Viridian, we can provide full layout designs for your approval. Our installation team can liaise closely with your roofing contractor to ensure a seamless delivery.

Viridian boast one of the most comprehensive list of accreditations of any solar manufacturer, the system has full BBA approval, is MCS accredited, and their Environmental Product Declaration is market leading.

“We were pleased with the recent installation of PV panels on our office building in Kidlington. We believe that it is the wealth of knowledge that the team at Energy My Way possess which is their biggest strength, alongside their ability to clearly explain the installation process, how the panels work and what is required as the customer to ensure everything works correctly. The installation was also quick, to minimise the disruption to our staff and visitors.”

Charge your EV with solar

Increasingly, clients tell us they would like solar as they now drive, or are planning on driving, an electric car (EV).

Customers are telling us there is logical step for them to use solar to charge their EV.

As well as the solar array itself, we can install EV chargers that will only charge the car when there is excess electricity from the array, avoiding the car charging from the grid.

Speak to us about how we can design a solar array enabling you to reduce your reliance on grid supplied electricity to power your EV.

The right choice for your business

Solar is a brilliant option for business.  Most businesses have their highest energy demands during daylight hours, which matches the generation from the solar array, meaning more of the energy from the array can be consumed in the building, helping to reduce bills and carbon output.

Solar is an effective way to publicly demonstrate your businesses commitment to the environment, to meet ISO14001 requirements, and engage your employees in a more sustainable future.

A number of our commercial clients have had screens installed displaying the performance of their solar array, so they can show how their investment is benefiting the environment and saving energy.

“EnergyMyWay did a terrific job for us. We were looking for a solar panel + battery system. They were flexible finding for the optimum layout of the panels on our roof to give the best result. They worked on schedule and the installation team were a pleasure to work with. I am very happy with the PV and battery system they provided. They provided excellent service.”

The battery revolution

Two years ago 10% of our new solar installations included a solar battery, now the figure is closer to 85%.

With the increasing cost of electricity there is now a greater incentive to use as much of the solar energy that is generated on site as possible, to reduce reliance on the grid and minimise the solar energy exported to the grid.

Why sell a kWh of electricity for 15p when you can store it in your battery and save 34p?

All our solar designs are modelled to ascertain whether a battery is a sensible investment for your system and if it is what the optimum battery size should be.

Solar PV arrays are installed by our EnergyMyWay installation teams, who are directly employed, experienced, friendly and knowledgeable.
