Ground-Mount Solar PV Array on a farm in Surrey

 • Helping a Surrey homeowner reduce their reliance on the grid and lower very high electricity bills.

• 38.2kW ground mount Solar PV array

• 72kWhr BYD battery system

The client had very high electricity bills. The site had EV chargers and an air source heat pump heating an outdoor swimming pool heated during summer months. To address this, he selected 90 x 425w panels, with 3 x 10kW solaredge inverters and 72kWhrs of storage capacity using BYD batteries.

This is a large battery for the size of the PV array.  But the client was planning to use the Octopus Agile tariff and SolarEdge ‘Time of Use Function’ to force charge and discharge his batteries at specific times of day.  This means he is saving money with his battery, even when the solar isn’t producing much power in the winter months.

“Very pleased with my solar array - 90 panels in all. Joe from EnergyMyWay has helped and supported all the way. This was a complex and time consuming project - as needed listed building, planning, DNO consents etc etc (and I decided to install 3 phase power as well). All changes as required were accommodated without fuss or delay. Installation team were brilliant, and equipment layout looks great.”  Mr N
