Will the Solar PV installation work when there is a power cut?
No, the Solar PV panels will produce electricity as long as there is daylight. However there is an inbuilt safety function in the inverter called anti-islanding which stops the electricity your Solar PV installation is producing being used and most importantly, exported to the grid and potentially electrocuting the people working on fixing the power cut!
