The RHI is now going to go-ahead in June 2011 rather than the previously proposed April 2011. The delay will give DECC (the Department of Energy and Climate Change) time to sort out the details of the incentive. The spending review mentioned a 20% cut to the original proposal regarding the RHI if this is the case the incentive will still make the investment in renewable technologies very attractive, the original proposal would have given an estimated 12% return so a 20% reduction will bring it down to 10% which is more in line with the Feed in Tariffs.
