EnergyMyWay Hertfordshire is pleased to announce that it has just been awarded contracts to carry out two architectural led projects, where design has been completed and installation works are underway.
Renewable Energy whole-house project for rural barn conversion
The first is a rural barn conversion, where we are designing and installing a Solar PV system using Clearline in-roof panels from Viridian. Hot water will be provided by a Clearline solar thermal hot water system, designed to match the Solar PV for a high quality, aesthetic finish. A NIBE air source heat pump will provide the heat source for the underfloor heating.
High-spec refurbishment requiring complete renewable energy package
The other project is a high-specification house refurbishment, where we are designing and installing an 8 kWp in roof solar PV system from Viridian, incorporating SolarEdge optimisers and Inverter. We have successfully applied for a 3-Phase mains electrical supply upgrade for the property, and are liaising with the electrical sub-contractor in respect of the upgrade.
The client has expressed a desire in having battery storage next year so the system will be designed to incorporate a SolarEdge StorEdge interface and a Tesla Powerwall Home Battery with minimum disruption.
The extension and annexe building will be provided with an air source heat pump for heating and hot water requirements and we are also providing a solar thermal hot water system from Viridian to work in conjunction with the existing heating system.
We have also commenced the installation of air to air split system air conditioning heat pumps to provide comfort cooling and supplementary heating to several rooms. The cooling aspect is particularly interesting in respect of efficiency. Not only is the equipment extremely efficient in its own right, on a hot sunny day the solar PV system will provide the energy to run the air conditioning units. Another example of renewable energy technology working together for the greatest results.
Both projects are due for completion Christmas 2015
