At EnergyMyWay we take pride in helping our clients find the right renewable energy solution whether it is a heat pump, biomass boiler or a solar panel installation. However sometimes there may not be a suitable solution and we would rather walk away from a potential job than install something that is in appropriate.
After the survey has been carried out you are sent a quotation normally within 5 working days. The quotation is done in accordance with the MCS guidelines and the REAL assurance scheme. If you require any further information at this point or would like some customer testimonials then we can provide these for you. Once you accept the quote a date for your installation will be agreed.
Usually the day before the installation is due to take place the scaffolding team arrive and erect the scaffolding. On the day of the installation the equipment arrives on site and the roofing team and the regional director plan out the position of the roof hooks for mounting the panels. The panels are tested and their performance logged before they are mounted on the roof, whilst the roofing team fix the panels to the roof the electrician works in the loft space wiring up the inverter, isolators and the total generation meter.
Once the roof hooks and rails have been fixed the PV modules go up fairly quickly. A typical domestic installation will take a day from start to finish, sometimes it may take longer but this is usually due to more complex electrical work being required inside the property, such as arranging cable runs or having to change distribution boards. You will be informed of any likely additional electrical work required usually at the time of the initial survey and this will be included in the quote.
After the job is completed your installation is signed off and you will be issued your MCS certificate which enable you to claim the Feed in Tariffs.
