Official government figures show that St Albans leads the way in solar pv installations across our region

According to the latest figures released by Ofgem on the 31st December 2011, there has been a diverse take-up of Solar PV installations across Middlesex, Greater London, South Hertfordshire and Buckinhamshire, with St Albans topping the bill while Watford lags behind.

Over 600MW of micro-generation technologies have been installed in the UK since the introduction of feed in tariffs. Based on the available data the key regions in Middlesex, South Herts & Bucks accounted for around 6MW (6000kWp) of installed capacity. The boroughs that have installed the most Solar PV are Dacorum (Hemel Hemsptead, Tring, Berkhamsted, & Kings Langley) and St Albans. Within Greater London, the boroughs of Ealing and Barnet are leading the way.

Here at EnergyMyWay we’d like to see awareness in the benefits of solar power micro-generation increase across the whole region.  If you, or anyone you know, would like to know more about solar pv, contact Nish of Middlesex EnergyMyWay and book your FREE survey today!
