The Department for Energy and Climate Change have announced the new Feed in Tariff rates that will apply to the Kingspan Wind Turbines for which EnergyMyWay are accredited installers.
Currently the rate is 28p per kWh which is being redacted to 21p per kWh.
The new rates will apply from 1st December, some 2 months later than anticipated and so there is still time to get Planning Consent for an installation and to get it completed by 1st December.
Even after the tariff changes, the return on investment will be excellent and better than many Solar PV installations depending on the local wind speed.
The Kingspan Wind Turbine is one of the most tried and tested small scale turbines and can deliver a fantastic return on investment as it continues to operate in high winds. The turbine comes as a 6kW unit with a larger one currently under development for later this year. It is anticipated that Kingspan?s investment in the turbine?s manufacture will lead to a rejuvenation of this very robust and most prevalent turbine across the UK.
As MCS Accredited Wind Turbine Installers, EnergyMyWay can provide all the necessary advice to assist their customers in the entire process. We can advise on site suitability, apply for Planning Permissions and arrange the entire installation including any needed consents from electricity network operators. We assist customers on the application for the Feed in Tariff and advise on how to maximise the benefit of having a Wind Turbine installation.
