After deliberating since January 13, the Court of Appeal has today denied the Department of Energy and Climate Change a hearing for its appeal against the High Court?s December ruling on UK solar feed-in tariffs.
However, DECC are taking their appeal to the Supreme Court. If they win their appeal at the Supreme Court the FiT rate will 21p as from 12th December 2011.
We at energymyway middlesex and herts believe that DECC are unlikely to win their appeal in the Supreme Court and are trying to drag out the whole process to limit the number of installations which attract the higher 43.3p rate.
If you decide to go ahead with your Solar PV installation before 3rd of March you are quite likely to receive a Feed-in Tariff rate of 43.3p / kWh.
