Southampton Sustainable Homes Open Weekend
If you are interested in reducing your carbon footprint, living more sustainably or in what renewable technologies really look like, you might want to visit one of the sustainable homes open to the public in Southampton on the weekends of 15-16 and 22-23 September 2012.
The event is organised by Transition Southampton. On show is everything from solar power, rainwater flushing systems, ultra efficient insulation and low energy technologies, to organic food growing. There are also workshops and an opportunity to grab some free DIY draught-busting materials for your own home. The Transition Southampton website gives more details:
