Final rates for the domestic RHI announced

The much awaited details on the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive have been released today.  The details outline how the scheme will work and what technologies and types of property will be able to claim the financial incentives for heating their homes using a renewable heating technology.

The government are supporting and encouraging the uptake of renewable heat technologies as 28% of total energy used in the UK goes to heat our homes.

EnergymyWay are very encouraged at the rates set out in the table below as they will cover the capital cost of installing the renewable technologies.

The payments under the RHI scheme to domestic households are index linked and tax free.

Who can claim the domestic RHI

  • Owner occupiers
  • Self builders
  • Registered providers of social housing
  • Private landlords
  • Legacy MCS installations of renewable heat technologies
  • Third party owners of the heating systems
