Chestnut Farm is a former cattle farm and the retired owner was about to embark upon a new business venture making kindling. The customer approached EnergyMyWay looking for a solution that could deliver cost effective heating for his former cattle barns, a greenhouse and two houses.
EnergyMyWay installed a multi-functional 90kW ETA Hack Biomass Boiler that runs on wood chips supplied from a local source. The system is funded by the District Heating Loan Scheme and generates £7,910 of income each year from the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive and £1,000 worth of savings – a exceptional return on investment of 19%.
