This busy farm shop in Cornwall has a home-grown ethos, rearing their own beef and lamb and selling their own and local producers’ goods.
With a very high energy demand, particularly during daylight hours, Solar PV was an obvious choice for the farm to generate its own energy and keep the bills low.
EnergyMyWay installed 30kW of ground mounted Solar PV as there was limited south-facing roof space available. Ground mounted Solar PV systems are increasing in popularity, where roofs are not viable but also where aesthetics of buildings need to be preserved.
This array needed to be designed to generate the maximum import and export revenue for the shop, while at the same time being set at a height to allow sheep to graze underneath.
