Solar PV on Victorian house

Return is calculated using combined bill savings and subsidy earnings. Bill savings are calculated using estimated energy usage and either the electricity price at the time of installation (18 July, 2012) or, for our heating products, the existing fuel type available to the property.

This Victorian property had no obvious South facing roof suitable for Solar PV, however Dr Shelley was keen on the technology and hoped to be able to make a good return from a number of small roof areas that were available.

EnergyMyWay analysed the potential of each roof available and designed a system which utilised three Solar arrays; on the East and West facing roofs of the detached garage, and on a South facing extension roof at the rear of the property.

Dr Shelley is forecast to earn £780 per year for 20 years, all tax-free and index-linked from Feed-in Tariff payments and bill savings.
