Return is calculated using combined bill savings and subsidy earnings. Bill savings are calculated using estimated energy usage and either the electricity price at the time of installation (13 May, 2014) or, for our heating products, the existing fuel type available to the property.
Having just moved into a new house, our customer was keen to reduce the size of his energy bills and asked EnergyMyWay to survey the property for solar panels. Mr Fell wanted advice from a reputable Warwickshire solar panel company, as he had some knowledge of the government Feed-in Tariff and was keen to benefit from the incentive for solar panel installations.
There was limited roof space available, so we recommended highly-efficient 310w Canadian Solar PV panels to maximise the amount of energy generated from the system. These panels deliver a higher performance than most solar panels which means less panels are needed to generate the same amount of electricity.
