Return is calculated using combined bill savings and subsidy earnings. Bill savings are calculated using estimated energy usage and either the electricity price at the time of installation (24 June, 2013) or, for our heating products, the existing fuel type available to the property.
A professional, eco-aware couple approached EnergyMyWay looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint, their energy bills and their dependence on big energy companies.
Because their home was supplied with mains gas and had a combi-boiler it was determined that the couple would achieve the biggest carbon and bill savings by generating their own electricity using roof-mounted Solar Photovoltaic panels.
Because the roof only allowed space for nine solar panels EnergyMyWay recommended and installed powerful 260W Hyundai units. These attractive black-on-black panels maximise the power per square meter and will offset nearly one and a half tonnes of carbon per year.
