Return is calculated using combined bill savings and subsidy earnings. Bill savings are calculated using estimated energy usage and either the electricity price at the time of installation (1 July, 2015) or, for our heating products, the existing fuel type available to the property.
Mr and Mrs G had moved into this Victorian house and had large energy bills and wanted some advice on how they might be reduced.
Richard Jones of Energy My Way advised them on this and recommended a number of measures including LED Lighting, considering an Air Source Heat Pump for the swimming pool and a Solar PV installation.
The issue was then how the panels would look and the need to minimise the visual effect.
Energy My Way Lincolnshire recommended an all black mono crystalline panel combined with an in roof (GSE) system. A Solaredge inverter was also installed to maximise production along with an immerSUN 2 device in order to heat the hot water during the day using spare solar electricity.
