This thriving business park on the edge of Oxford comprises of a number of units leased by enterprising small and medium-sized businesses. The owners are known in the area for their progressive, people-oriented values. They approached EnergyMyWay looking to reinforce their established green credentials and reduce the energy costs of their properties.
The current heating system used LPG and the existing fuel storage area was due for an upgrade for health and safety reasons. EnergyMyWay were able to incorporate a Biomass Boiler, significantly reducing energy bills and generating a healthy income from the non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive.
EnergyMyWay recommended a Biomass Boiler due to its high grade heat, which is what the building fabric needed.
A bespoke plant room was designed and built housing the 70kW Eta boiler and a 9 tonne fuel silo connected to a 2,000 litre buffer tank.
This Biomass is part of a larger initiative towards a greater use of renewable energy for Jennings. EnergyMyWay has since installed a 50kWp Solar PV system on the same unit and is scheduled for further works on neighbouring units.
