Return is calculated using combined bill savings and subsidy earnings. Bill savings are calculated using estimated energy usage and either the electricity price at the time of installation (1 October, 2013) or, for our heating products, the existing fuel type available to the property.
This rural property was already heated using Biomass fuel but the existing boiler was old and in a state of disrepair. The client approached EnergyMyWay looking for a solution that would not only allow them to continue using a low cost, sustainable fuel source, but also earn them a government subsidy to cover installation costs.
After thorough analysis of the property, it’s heat loss, available space and existing energy requirements, EnergyMyWay recommended and installed a 25kW Windhager Biomass Boiler. The Boiler will meet all the client’s needs and earn them nearly £20,000 in Renewable Heat Incentive payments over 7 years.
