Return is calculated using combined bill savings and subsidy earnings. Bill savings are calculated using estimated energy usage and either the electricity price at the time of installation (1 April, 2013) or, for our heating products, the existing fuel type available to the property.

Mr Bruce had an old, expensive, oil-fuelled boiler which needed replacing. He approached EnergyMyWay looking for a more economical heating system which would also give him a return on his investment. Renewable energy could not only offer cheaper bills but also an income representing greater returns than an ISA.

EnergyMyWay provided an Air Source Heat Pump and a 4kW Solar PV installation using the East and West facing roofs of an outbuilding. The free electricity generated by the Solar PV could power the Heat Pump and maximise the return. The East and West facing Solar arrays extended the duration of the day when useful electricity was generated.
