Return is calculated using combined bill savings and subsidy earnings. Bill savings are calculated using estimated energy usage and either the electricity price at the time of installation (1 April, 2013) or, for our heating products, the existing fuel type available to the property.

This busy equine hospital and farm veterinary practiced approached EnergyMyWay looking to reduce their electricity bills. Operating seven days a week during daylight hours they were a perfect candidate to benefit from Solar PV.
EnergyMyWay liaised with Western Power and established that the building was in a good position for exporting excess solar energy to the grid without any grid upgrades required and without planning permissions.

The practice has multiple roofs but no obvious large South-facing elevation for Solar. EnergyMyWay recommended an East West array on the stable block and an additional South-facing array on the main practice building. Two separate inverters were installed which fed into one metre.

Bill savings of approximately £1,700 per year were achieved as well as a regular income of £4,049 from the Feed-in Tariff for 20 years.
